WOAH! A MAJOR UPDATE???

This update adds a ton of extra multiplayer functionality to the rhythm game, changes up some visuals, adds quality of life features, and fixes a BUNCH of bugs!

RHYTHM GAME

  • Added Multiplayer functionality for the Rhythm Game. Up to 5 players can now play during Co-op, OR from the Multiplayer Menu. During co-op mode, the best performance will be used to advance the story.
  • Nerfed Cultstep’s Easy difficulty (again.)
  • Changed the way the rhythm game detects note hits. This should (ideally) be more accurate.
  • Fixed some visual issues with the rhythm game when using autoplay.
  • Removed the legacy “Kaguya” player from rhythm game autoplay.
  • Slightly adjusted the height of the rhythm game notes
  • Added option for Upscroll in the rhythm game
  • Added custom scrollspeed options
  • Added judgement location option
  • Added option to enable or disable speed scaling with BPM.
  • Fixed some visual issues when hitting Sustained Notes early.
  • Increased opacity of keys.

MENUS

  • Recreated the font. This new font should (ideally) be easier to read.
  • Added Dark Mode option for textboxes and menus. You can find the toggle in the Accessibility options.
  • Changed the display method of multi-choice dialogue options. Your selected choice will now be displayed [ Like this ]
  • Added Borderless Fullscreen and Fullscreen toggles to the First Run menu.
  • Added Resolution adjustment to the First Run Menu.

GAMEPLAY

  • Fixed spacing of Angree’s Team Jump! Tongue attack to look MUCH more natural.
  • GREATLY optimized performance in Angree’s Team Jump! attack.
  • Slightly adjusted speed and movement of Angree’s Team Jump! attack.
  • Adjusted the position that Chet Archie pushes players to in the Hot Sauce cutscene.

BUG FIXES

  • Fixed the selection sound playing twice when selecting certain options in the file select menu.
  • Fixed an issue where co-op players could skip Chet Archie’s cutscene trigger in Dust’E’Rock.
  • Removed Player turn text whenever a textbox is active in battle.
  • Fixed an issue where, in rare cases, prayers could cause a game crash.
  • Fixed a bug where a breakable floor would break if a player using Journey activated Angelic Spike while ANY player was on the breakable floor.
  • Fixed non-P1 players still having control when Player 1 decides to sleep in a bed.
  • Fixed non-P1 players still having control when Player 1 uses a Rune Table.
  • Fixed non-P1 players being unable to grab items in the overworld.
  • Fixed collisions with certain overworld enemies always thinking the collision came from Player 1.
  • Fixed speed improperly carrying over when transitioning rooms via bouncy mushrooms.
  • Fixed Journey becoming invisible for a bit after Angelic Spike in the overworld if he collided early into the move.
  • Added a ceiling to some rooms in World 2, as it was possible to make it out of bounds.
  • Fixed other characters being invisible when entering S.L.O.R.P for the first time.
  • Reduced the likelihood of lag spikes occurring in large rooms during multiplayer co-op.
